Submission of this form is a statement of your willingness to serve as a Volunteer Grand Awards Judge at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Reno, Nevada in May, 2009

Society for Science & The Public of Washington, D.C. is the non-profit agency that conducts this international event, and they set the criteria for becoming a judge, which read as follows:

Judges must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent, OR a B.A., B.S. or a masters degree with a minimum of six years related professional experience. Judges may include university faculty, industrial scientists and engineers, representatives of private and federal research centers and agencies, and medical researchers. Affiliated science fair directors, ISEF Official Party members, or elementary or secondary teachers are not eligible to judge.

Judges are expected to be available from Tuesday afternoon May 12 through Wednesday evening May 13, 2009 to complete their judging assignments. Please provide the information requested below if you desire to be a judge. We will contact you, after we receive your application, by e-mail (preferably) or regular mail. I also agree to conduct myself ethically and responsibly at all times during the fair. To that end, I agree to notify the Host Committee Judging Chair and Society for Science & The Public's Judging Coordinator immediately if I become aware of any circumstance, including personal familiarity with an ISEF Finalist or personal emergency, that would potentially compromise my ability to attend the event or evaluate finalists' projects.
